Monte Baldo (Veneto)
May – September
90 € per person
for a group of 6 people
The Vajo dell’Orsa canyon is the longest itinerary offered by us. A true adventure for people who have had previous experience in shorter canyons.
This itinerary is offered without a shuttle for two reasons: because a great adventure must start on foot and because those who tackle such a long canyon must not be scared of an hour and a half of uphill walking.
The meeting point is the church of Brentino; where we will prepare our backpacks with gear, food, water and emergency equipment. We will follow a path which takes us to the sanctuary of Madonna della Corona, first of all uphill and then along flat terrain, on the edge of the canyon which forms it, until we reach the torrent.
During our descent we will tackle thirty or so abseils, a few are dry, a few under water, the highest are 27 metres high.
The first part is characterised by a canyon which is not very deep, with simple abseils which are followed by sections on foot and crystal clear pools of water with some small jumps.
The central section is the most interesting and spectacular part of the canyon, the rock face which is two hundred metres forms an unforgettable canyon where it is possible to slide down and make abseils down smooth rocks and crystal clear pools of water. The itinerary continues to sink down, the canyon dries out and the canyon becomes wider. After all this exciting activity we will find a great place to take a rest and a bite to eat. We will then continue our adventure of abseils and vertiginous rock walls, till we will end our unforgettable day by reaching the starting point.
