Canyoning tour in the Rio Nero gorge at Passo d’Ampola, in the Ledro valley, with a Mountain Guide

The Rio Nero canyon, also known as Jurassik is located at Passo d’Ampola in the Ledro valley, a rural tourist area near Lake Garda. If you like diving, the Rio Nero gorge is perfect for you.

Start and arrival point is at Passo d’Ampola, near the Passo d’Ampola restaurant.
With a twenty-minute walk we will arrive in the lowest section of the torrent and there is exactly where our adventure begins. The fresh and clean water has carved out pools and striking canyons. We will start off down a nice slide inside a bell-shaped rock, a few metres and then a jump will lead us into a beautiful pool. An abseil follows and opens the path towards a natural aqua park where you can jump as many times as you like! The central itinerary is characterised by a walk surrounded by a wonderful environment, hidden to the eyes of the ordinary tourists. A little slide will then lead us into a nice jacuzzi, a pool with running water, to then access the final part which consists of several descents by abseils.

Diving is not compulsory and in every canyon tour you can easily avoid jumps and slides by abseiling.

What you have to bring:

A pair of shoes to wear in the canyon (preferably sneakers)
A swimming costume
Another pair of shoes for the return walk (the pair you use in the canyon will be completely wet)
Bags for the wet shoes and clothing
A towel
A synthetic or cotton T-shirt to be worn under the wetsuit (a synthetic thermal T-shirt would be the best choice)
