Canyoning is an exciting activity, but it is normal to have some uncertainty before starting.
On this page you will find all the answers to the most frequently asked questions about canyoning. Whether you are a curious beginner or an adrenaline-seeking athlete, here you will clear up any doubts before diving (literally) into this adventure!
Can I do it too?
There are both easy and difficult canyoning routes and sure, you can do it too if you love water and have a taste for adventure.
What do I need to know?
Walking, diving, swimming and sliding are things you already know how to do, we take care of the rest.
What if I don't want to dive?
In all canyon routes, jumps and slides can be avoided by abseiling.
I have never done a rappel. How does it work?
Don’t worry, during the descent into the canyon you will slowly get acquainted with this new experience. Your guide will teach you the correct approach to abseiling and all you have to do is relax and smile, assume the correct position and descend alongside the waterfalls.
Who will accompany me?
Our Alpine Guides are specialised in the canyons we propose; you could say they know every rock! They will know how to keep you and your friends entertained, taking care of you and teaching you how to tackle this wonderful adventure.
What should I bring?
You need your swimming costume already worn, a towel and two pairs of shoes: one pair of trainers (or similar) to use during the canyon and the other spare for the return home.
How will I be equipped?
A cool-down in summer is always nice, but considering that the waters in the canyons are not freezing but neither are they thermal, I’ll give you a five-and-a-half-millimetre wetsuit, a tank top and neoprene socks, a rappelling harness and helmet, and a buoyancy vest where needed.
