Crete, the largest of the Greek islands, is a renowned beauty, famous for his trekking routes and the diversity of its landscapes, that vary from the sea to the mountains.

If you are looking for a hiking route with breathtaking views every single day, where the line of the blue sky meets the sea on the horizon creating a magical atmosphere, this excursion was made for you. You will end every stage of the trek wondering what wonderful panorama you will see next, waking your spirit of adventure every day a little bit more.
The stages of the trek run along the most famous and panoramic part of the southern coast of Crete. The itinerary consists of 6 days of walk on comfortable paths, but not always easy. The longest leg of the route is 24 km long.

A good preparation for long walks with a sure footing and some spirit of adventure.

Duration of the trek: 6 days
Overnight stay: 7 nights in hotels along the route
Meals: Dinner and breakfast at the hotel and packed lunch
Logistics: Backpacks will be moved from one hotel to the other by bus or ferry and the participants will carry just a small backpack.
Shortenings: every stage can be shortened or skipped by taxi or taxi boat (service not included in the given price)
Daily walk: from 17 to 24 km
Travel time: from 5 to 8 hours
Maximum height difference: 1000 metres
Difficulty: moderate. There are some easy stages but also some difficult stretches that need a good preparation.

First day: arrival in Chania and afternoon drive to Chora Sfakion. First stage of the trekking to Loutro, almost 2-3 hours.
Second day: trekking from Loutro to Agia Roumeli, 5-hour walk.
Third day: 7-8 hour walk with 1000 metres of height difference from Agia Roumeli to Sougia, a famous summer holiday destination.
Fourth day: 4 or 5-hour walk from Sourgia to Agia Irini (1000 m height difference) Overnight stay in Omalos.
Fifth day: trekking along Samaria Gorge to Agia Roumeli. Overnight stay in Sougia.
Sixth day: day of rest in Sougia, at the beach or doing activities chosen by the group and to be organized with the guide.
Seventh day: last stage of the trek, from Sougia to Paleochora.
Eighth day: private transfer to Chania airoport and return flight.

The programme can be varied on request of fixed groups of clients depending on their needs. The route can be shortened or lengthened and the day of rest can be skipped.
